Sensational findings on antiviral efficacy of Anaferon for children according to Antiviral Research Journal of International Society on Antiviral Research

The results of the study of antiviral activity of Anaferon for children on experimental model of swine influenza have been published.
Official Antiviral Research Journal has published the results of the study of antiviral activity of Anaferon for children on experimental model of swine influenza induced by contamination of mice with lethal doses of influenza A/California/07/09 (http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0166354211005195).

The study carried out by Research Institute of Influenza of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of Russia demonstrated that Anaferon for children in non inferior to reference drug Oseltamivir in terms of antiviral activity, reducing the titer of influenza virus in pulmonary tissue, decreasing mortality and normalizing changes in weight of contaminated animals. Anaferon for children also significantly reduces the degree of pulmonary infiltration with inflammatory cells ensuring defense of bronchial epithelium, preventing one of the main causes of severe influenza and its complications.

The results of the study verify the findings on antiviral efficacy of Anaferon for children against various strains of pandemic influenza virus А/H1N1 (strains A/California/04/09 and A/California/07/09) obtained in other research institutions of Russia, Europe and USA.
